2018 will be the year I ... see myself through my mother's eyes
I'm sure you think this can be debated, but it simply cannot: I have the best mother ever.
She believes in me more than anyone else. Sometimes it feels like her unconditional love is all I need. She's my best friend; she's my safe place. She's perfect for me.
When people ask me what I do for work, I say I work in communications. I do social media for a nonprofit based out of Dallas and manage the web content of a medical device company. I get to work remote, and it's awesome.
When people ask my mom what I do, she says I'm an entrepreneur. She says I'm my own boss and I have clients with whom I choose to work.
How can two people interpret something so differently? I say I work for other people. Mom says I'm a BOSS.
Mark my words: 2018 will be the year I see myself through my mother's eyes.
2018 Sarah is a boss who calls the shots. She is strong, brave and beautiful. She is everything her mom's been saying she is all along.
