3 reasons why I love mugs so much I decided to sell them

I’m often asked why I sell mugs. Just kidding. No one asks me that. But that’s because I just started selling them … I think.

I have thought about it, though, since my decision to sell mugs came from my overall love for them.

So why do I love mugs so much? Let me count the ways.

1. I love that mugs have their own personality

You know when you come across a mug that makes you smile or one that just seems to explain exactly how you feel or think? I love that. Or when you see a mug and know exactly who it reminds you of. Mugs may be inanimate objects, but is it me or do they have heart?

2. I love that mugs pick the person

If I go to your house on a regular basis, there’s a good chance I have a mug I use every time. I babysit my bff’s little girl twice a week, and if I’m making myself a cup of coffee, you know I’m using my favorite mug. It’s a mug that has the cutest photo of my friend when she was a little girl. It’s the most random mug I could’ve picked, and when I did pick it, I chose it as a joke. Now it’s “my” mug. And as much as I’d like to think I picked that mug, I know the truth: That mug chose me.

3. I love that mugs make you slow down

Perhaps my favorite thing about mugs is the fact that they make you chill out -- if only for a moment. Having a hot cup of coffee in the morning requires some time. You can try and drink from a mug quickly, but it just doesn’t work. If you neglect your hot drink, you’ll have to pay the price and either warm it up again or dump it. For 5 to 10 minutes every morning, I’m at peace, and I can thank a hot cup of coffee in my favorite mug for that!
